TO REGISTER:
Register for districts on Track Wrestling.  Districts are on February 9th in Bettendorf.  We are District 5. You can put North Scott Wrestling Club down for your wrestler To be able to participate in AAU state, boys need to qualify with a 1st through 4th placement at districts.. If they qualify that day for state, they will receive state information sheet during awards which will indicate how to register for state. The deadline to register for state is usually by that evening if it is the same as other years so do not delay in registering for state. 

Shortly following districts, look for an email regarding AAU state t-shirts. There is a very quick turnaround for ordering t-shirts for state.

Your wrestler must have an AAU membership for districts and state. When you register for your AAU card, North Scott is not listed as a club. We do not pay the fee to be listed. Please select "no" when asked if they are a member of a club. But when you register them for the state tournament, you will select "North Scott Lancers". The link to order an AAU card is on our NS Wrestling Club website. 

Please note if you are a coach, you must have an AAU card. Please review the rules about what steps you need to take if you want to go on the floor and/or be in your wrestler’s corner at state. Coaches AAU cards take a few days for background information to be checked so do not wait until the last minute.

K-2nd Grade divisions are incorporated with AAU Super Pee-Wee - Young Arena - Waterloo, IA

 IF YOU DO NOT MAKE WEIGHT, AS REGISTERED, YOUR ATHLETE WILL BE BUMPED UP FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. IF YOU WISH TO DROP WEIGHT CLASS THIS MUST BE CLEARLY COMMUNICATED AT THE WEIGH IN SCALE!!

 -Jr. High Athletes May Wrestle Up in High School Division to Qualify for Team Iowa High School Team
-No Double Bracketing
-We reserve the right to combine weight classes that have 3 or less wrestlers.
-At the highest weight-in each division we would create a new bracket if we had a dramatic difference in weight (typically greater than 15% difference in body weight)

REGISTRATION: Entry fee is $45 online registration. NO REFUNDS
-Registrations are limited to Iowa Residents and previous out of district Team Iowa members. Exceptions will be voted upon by committee and only made to support event brackets or to provide an opportunity to further grow Iowa women’s wrestling.
-Participants must be biological females as stated on participant’s birth certificate. Biological males may not participate in AAU Girls State, they may participate in AAU Kids State.

EARLY BIRD WEIGH-IN: $25, 12PM-1PM
EVENT WEIGH-IN: 4-6 pm.
-Must weigh-in in singlet.
-MUST BRING CURRENT AAU Cards, PROOF OF GRADE, & Birth Certificate to weigh ins or upon request during competition. All AAU cards must be purchased prior to weigh-ins.—NOT sold at door. Purchase online at: www.aausports.org. AAU card is not proof of age.

SESSION 1: Doors will open at 7:00 am - Wrestling will begin at 8:00 am
           DIVISIONS A & C
SESSION 2: Wrestling will begin at TBD
           DIVISION B & D
SMALLER BRACKETS (2 MAN, 3 MAN, 4 MAN) WILL BE WRESTLED OUT ON SATURDAY. THOSE ATHLETES MAY RETURN ON SUNDAY TO PARTICIPATE IN GRAND MARCH IF DESIRED - KEEP YOUR BANDS ON FOR ENTRY.
ALL OTHER BRACKETS WILL WRESTLE TO TOP 8 OR AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE BEFORE END OF SESSION 2.
SUNDAY
Doors open at 7:30 AM - Grand March at 8:30 AM - Wrestling will begin at 9 AM
          ALL DIVISIONS

All matches will be wrestled using the numeric match system on Track Wrestling. Each weight class will be assigned a mat that they will wrestle for most of the day. Matches will move as mats open and will be announced.
Folkstyle tournament rules apply identically to AAU Kids State.
There will be “NO MINIMUM WAIT TIME.” A brief 1-2 match break will be given if the athlete is called onto a mat as they leave a match or while they are still wrestling.

Please be aware they only allow two coaches mat side and you must have an AAU coaches card. The link is below for the AAU cards and adults take a few days for the background check so I would not wait if you need one. The girls also need this AAU card if you haven't gotten it for them yet.
